Word on the street is that there was a DJ Premier/Nipsey Hussle collaboration in the works prior to Nipsey Hussle's untimely demise last month, this remix/reimagining might be your best option unless there are some tracks in the vault. The project "The Premier Hussle" presented by Altered Crates & DJ Tiger puts Neighborhood Nip and Premier into an alternate universe where the listener can almost believe the synergy is real. DJ Tiger blends some of Premier's lesser known tracks with Nipsey's acapella's for the ultimate dream collabo Marvel issue of "What If?". Peep it out. "Born in the Bay, posted in Philly" producer Sideswipe follows up his last project, "Goners," released earlier this year with his latest release "Fairlight Fairlady". Sideswipe stays in the realm of gritty, sample based instrumentals that carry with or without vocals. 5 instrumentals deep is enough to get caught in the grimey soundscapes.
