Jane Handcock - IONLIKEDAT (produced by Mani Draper)

MC/Vocalist/producer Jane Handcock can do pretty much whatever she wants when it comes to Soul music. On the Mani Draper produced IONLIKEDAT she decided to turn the tempo up and make folks move something with a dance vibe. Never one to shy away from her MC skills, Jane has a way of weaving in and out of R&B vocals to rap vocals seamlessly. The Grand Nationxl snow ball is still catching momentum.

Ian Kelly - Soul of a Man (produced by Eric G.)

d

Grand Nationxl/JAMLA recording artist Ian Kelly keeps his foot on the gas with "Soul of a Man", fresh off of last December's collaboration release of "Zion V: The Ballad of Charles Douthit" the latest installment in a series from the JAMLA records General 9th Wonder. "Soul of a Man" is a selection from Ian Kelly's upcoming project "Kells is D.E.A.D" (Determined Evolving Ascending Destined). Reminiscent of 1991's De La Soul album titled "De La Soul is Dead", Kelly is using his art to show his transformation/evolution where as the 3 Plugs refer to the death of the "D.A.I.S.Y." (Da Inner Sound, Y'all) age, or a distancing from several cultures including hippies and mainstream Hip Hop. The sound scape for "Soul of a Man" stays in the JAMLA camp with producer and Soul Council member Eric G representing Seattle respectively. Eric David Gabouer, better known as producer Eric G, has been working with Rapsody and JAMLA Records for close to a decade.  Stay tuned for more from Ian Kelly and keep an eye out for "Kells is D.E.A.D." dropping 1-29-21.

KevChoice - "Flatten The Curve" ft. Ian Kelly & Rob Woods (prod. by DJ D Sharp)

KevChoice recruits fellow Oakland MC Ian Kelly (JAMLA, Grand Nationxl) and Sacramento's Rob Woods for a hands down get busy track "Flatten The Curve", produced by DJ D Sharp (fresh off of heavy production duties on the critically acclaimed Eastshore Highway album). Kev let's us know he's "bringing back that Hip Hop aesthetic", you know it's real when you hear the infamous M.O.P. classic war cry in the background. Shout out to KevChoice and all the other artist's pushing through this pandemic and keeping their creative output ignited.
