WORLD WENT CRAZY & OMAR ORTIZ - OUT OF TOWN FT. PETEY MAC (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Omar Ortiz Petey Mac World Went Crazy

I caught up with World Went Crazy around the release of their single I-880 Side Show HERE and we've been rocking with them ever since. WWC eventually became regulars on our Drums & Ammo "Friendly Fire" radio show (radio in peace). Being in the Bay Area we have the tendency of coalescing around sounds native to the environment, I've always been a fan of local artists that push the envelope and use ingredients that are rare to the pot. World Went Crazy is the West Oakland crew that not only embody Oakland/Bay Area energy but also pull from other influences that give them their own flavor in a sea of artists. Get familiar #DNA

Artist:  World Went Crazy

Background: Oakland, CA. & Richmond, CA.
 Influences
WWC: Our name deriving from the 1995 song by The Click displays our heavy influence by the underground rap scene of California's Bay Area in the 1990s.  The sound of producers such as Khayree, the wordplay of Rappin' Ron, the documentation of the culture like 415, with the complementation of each other's styles like the Dangerous Crew.
"Out Of Town" is a single, featuring Petey Mac, from our upcoming collaboration album with producer Omar Ortiz Festival At The Lake.
Filmed in West Oakland's Lowell Park, the context of the song laid out the perfect guide for the visual, "Out of town I make it feel just like it's West Oakland." And no better time than now to release it.

DNA: What's Next?:
WWC: Our next single from Festival At The Lake "Mint Condition (Remix)" releases on June 15, 2023.
